I am enjoying my beautiful lush green weed free lawn. It fills me with pride when I walk outside and see it. We have had there service for 2+ years and the lawn looks great. I even get compliments by my neighbors and my Sisters on how nice it looks. I will post before and after photos of my actual lawn. Thank you weedman.

I’m not sure who at Weed Man decided it was a good idea to cold call people so “Weed Man” unexpectedly shows up on their phone, but stop. If I wanted your services I would let you know. Idiots.

Sorry if it bugs you to see us on your caller I.d., the truth is we actually don’t cold call anyone but only call people who have given us their information from either a free quote at your door, or you inquired online at some point or a home show, or something along those lines. We’ve been in business locally for 10 years and have never made one cold call.
However if you have changed your mind along the way and now are not interested in a free quote it’s super easy. Just give our office a call or answer when we call you and just simply let us know.

They dropped something on the hood of my hummer but swear up and down they didn't do it when I confronted them they didn't know wat happened to my hummer but knew my exact address where my hummer was at...Coincidence  naw but they refuse to pay for it I had debri all over the hood of my hummer

Hey I’m sorry this happened to your hummer. We are asking around our office and nobody knows about any conversations had with you. We also looked in our system and don’t have anyone with your last name under contract or even in the system at all.
So we would love to figure this out but have no idea what is going on. Also this review is being wrote in the middle of January and if it truly is a weed man thing we haven’t been on any yards since November sometime. So it makes it even tougher to track what is going on and who you talked to and everything else.

So we would love to work this out but you’ll need to call our office and we would need to find your account to start this.

We’ve used Weed Man for 2 years. The results looking at our lawn over that time are borderline staggering. It has been highly effective and we are very satisfied with the results.

I haven’t used them since 2018. However, at that time they never resolved the issues of moles and weeds. They offered additional services that didn’t work the first times.  Interestingly, I almost tried them again as they called and offered me a quote that was lower compared to other services. However, upon my return call they gave me a different cost (higher) and wanted me to pay the “costs owed” from 2018, which I had thought to be resolved over the last three years.  I would NOT use this company as they have proven unreliable and do not stand behind their services. Buyer beware.

Sorry to hear you did not get the results you were hoping for.

We just looked into your account and it looks like the reason we were not able to resume trying to fix those services in 2018 was due to lack of payments so we had to put the account on hold until we started receiving some money for services completed.

Looks like our first applications were done in April that year with the first received payments coming two months later which put a delay on the progress.

We had completed two services early in April and gave grace of 3 services without payment before we had no choice but to wait and make sure you were planning on paying and unfortunately that played a big factor in your lack of results.

Ideally if we were to service your yard again we would probably want a prepay or card on file so we could charge after each application so we actually could keep the timing of those services where they need to be instead of being delayed due to lack of payment but like our representative did say you do still owe for services done in august of 2018 before we would even consider doing anything for you.

They will always say that your yard is 5000 sq ft but in reality that's almost doubled my yard size. They only applied it one time and only on my front yard and they are now claiming that I had service in June of 2019 when I didn't even reside at my address until September of 2019. They keep calling me about the service. Do not use them as they are taking advantage of people that sign up for services. They also said I had grubs and applied a grub treatment with out my knowledge and are trying to charge me for a service I never requested. I do not want a reply to this post as I consider it a complete waste of my iq to read the response.

We agree that this post is a waste of our time as well.
1. We only get your phone number and address when you give it to us so what you are saying doesn’t make any sense.

2. We actually size out the yards with an online feature and our average lot size is almost 10,000 sq ft so your comment doesn’t add up there either.

3. We don’t do any application until approved by homeowners, so the only way someone could be signed up for any treatment would be by their approval and that would be for the first application all the way to the grub control application, so our technician can’t even add a service if he wanted to, so that doesn’t make any sense either.

So nothing you are saying is adding up. I understand you maybe trying not to pay but none of your details could have even happened because what you would be declaring is we somehow knew what house you were going to buy in the fall, attach your name and phone number to it, start applying at will and adding stuff left and right knowing you would move in later in the fall and would be stuck paying it.

I’m sure there are smart enough people out there that have the time and energy to do that but we aren’t those people, we are too busy growing a business and the only way that can happen is with customers who want to pay for what they sign up for.

This post is a false interpretation of our company filled with nothing but false Acquisitions.

No need to respond back to this either but please pay for the services you ordered so we both can be freed from this.

First and foremost,  it is helpful as a consumer to understand that Weed Man ONLY provides fertilization services. If your lawn is in need of overseeding or aeration to generate new growth, you will have to be referred to another company, who may or may not ever actually reach out. Perhaps it is my fault for assuming this was a comprehensive lawn care company that would develop a customized treatment plan for my lawn's needs - however I do not feel this is accurately advertised or marketed by their door to door salesmen. Furthermore, after my concerns were expressed after a full year of treatments and lack of desired results, I requested to have services placed on hold while I awaited this referral to the other company. Despite the hold on my account, I still had technicians sent out twice. I did receive the reminder call the day before each of these services and returned the call both times, leaving a voicemail explaining that I did not want treatment. Regardless, the techs still showed up, and I had to directly ask them to leave my house due to unwanted services, despite a desire to avoid face to face contact during the COVID pandemic.

Secondly, one of the days that I was charged for treatments were inaccurate, and the tech had actually gone to the wrong house and treated my neighbor's lawn. Upon addressing this with management, I was questioned, and a technician had to be sent out to inspect my lawn to ensure there were not beads present in my lawn. Only after this was confirmed was a re-treatment scheduled. Sure, mistakes happen - but wouldn't you think the techs should be confirming they are at the correct address?

Finally, dealing with Marnie in management has been a nightmare. While trying to come to a solution to ultimately give us the lawn we desire, she was belittling and condescending. She told me that it wasn't her fault that as homeowners we were not capable of seeding and raking our own lawns, and that "wasn't her problem". When I explained that I had expected her techs to monitor our lawn's progress and expected them to prescribe or recommend a different treatment option after the initial plan was clearly not working, her response was that "they don't do that at Weed Man."

Bottom line, if you want a cookie cutter, one-size fits all treatment approach to your lawn, you may be lucky and have their products work for you. However, do not expect the technicians to actually evaluate or propose a customized plan based on your lawn's needs. And, heaven forbid you are dissatisfied with your service, you will not find understanding or compromise from management. Overall, I would prefer to take my business elsewhere.

I am first of all very sorry that your experience with our company didn’t fulfill the needs of you as a customer and your lawn - I am more sorry that as a company we learn of it as we are trying to collect monies owed for 60 days.

You started off stating we are ONLY fertilization services and that is inaccurate.  We service ALL lawn care needs and concerns.  (including aeration)

We serviced your lawn for 2019 - received payments and not one word that our product was not meeting your lawn needs - we even sent a survey to you asking to grade us and give us feedback - nothing.

We send renewal letters in November, December, January - still no call or conversation that our product was failing to meet your needs

As far as our customer service to you goes - we provided you with a 24 hr automated call ahead prior to your services - no call stating you weren’t happy or didn’t want the scheduled service.

Call ahead on 4/30, Weed Control 5/1 - senior tech

Call ahead 5/1, Fertilizer 5/2 - new tech (who did the wrong address and after several mistakes like this had to be released)

Call from customer 5/4 stating we did the wrong lawn -
Tech Inspection 5/7 confirmed and we promptly reapplied the fertilizer on 5/12.

On 5/12 you called to discuss the lawn and what it’s needs are and in our continual desire to make sure a customer is pleased I scheduled a FREE weed control application - and placed account on hold per your request. (3 apps no talk of cancelling)

All of the above is our attempt to service you and your lawn with quality customer service.

In our phone conversation yesterday was when I noticed that the free weed control reapplication that I ordered triggered an accidental 2nd fertilizer - I apologized and immediately without you asking removed the charges for that service as that was our error.

In most business practices this is good customer service.

I believe we had the conversation on 5/4 about the bare spots in the lawn that you weren’t happy with and that our product wasn’t addressing.  We discussed at that time that if the bareness was sparse and random I suggested an aeration and overseeding (which Weed Man has been providing its customers for 70 years).

As we talked further and you kept saying “I have no lawn” - I was concerned that aeration/overseeding would not be effective and a waste of your money - so I suggested it may need reseeded totally (different department not different company).

With the shutdown and late start to our season our landscape division didn’t seek new jobs for 5-6 weeks due to being booked up.

Occasionally, needs are not met and as a company you do everything to rise to that occasion to rectify any mistakes that you’ve done - we feel we've done our best to do this.

It's unfortunate your view of dealing with me -   I spoke of dates, services, facts … you countered with “never happy”, “I never planned to continue services”, “your product doesn’t work”, “how do I know you did any services correctly”, “I have a ring camera”, “I will leave a glowing review for you”, all before hanging up on me.  I never raised my voice, lost my cool, or anything.

In review of our conversation in light of this review - the only statement that I made that could have been interpreted (incorrectly) as “belittling and condescending” was when you talked about our product not fixing the bare spots.  I stated that “fertilizer doesn’t grow grass it feeds grass that’s there, if you want grass in large bare spots you have to plant new grass.

We would have loved to talk through these issues with you last year, over the winter, at time of first, second, OR third application this year but it doesn't surprise us to not hear anything until after we call you trying to collect money . At this point we already removed the charges for the 3 applications applied and unfortunately I don't know what else we can do.

I hired my first lawn care provider, Weed Man, last year. I got a quote and even added Mole Guard and grub control. I contacted them for re-treating, which they did.  I had more weeds and more moles than ever. I contacted them to receive some credit back and all of the folks I talked to didn’t matter as they continue to call me demanding payment. Their last email was, sorry but you received the service so you need to pay. Way to stand behind your services and products. Even one of their own techs commented in writing that there were weeds etc. Don’t use a service that won’t credit you for a legit complaint. Plenty of other companies that my friends have used. Don’t use them...

I have used Weed Man for 2 years now - Excellent Company!
Before I called Weed Man, my front yard was being overrun by clover, dandelions & some thorny pain in the a** ground weed. My backyard was 50% dandelion, more clover and a bunch of weeds the groundhog and rabbits love.
I use the fertilizer, weed control & aeration. 2 years later I have ZERO weeds and my grass is rich, full and green! And, the groundhog, rabbits and squirrels are still running around.
Weed Man is an outstanding company to do business with, very professional employees and office personnel.
I remain extremely satisfied with Weed Man and would recommend this company to anyone I know, even my grandma!

They show up and provide their services prior to a verbal agreement or agreed upon schedule despite me telling them that I needed to discuss with my wife and prefer to speak with them before they show (I only stated that I was interested). I asked to keep in touch and never spoke to a representative again they just showed up and completed their service without hesitation. Then demand that we pay them for a service that they completed with no verbal agreement. The customer representative told me that I was wasting time and he needed to deal with his other customers and was very rude. He even threatened to take me to collections prior to allowing to speak with his manager. I was polite throughout the entire conversation. At one point they told me they get calls from customers all the time that did not agree to any service and try to get it for free, that statement alone tells me that I'm not the only dealing with their manipulation. To top it off the product didn't work last year and suspect it will not work again this year. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

Sorry to hear this is your take on what happen. What the whole story is with this is we said we would never want to charge somebody for something they didn’t order so we actually record our phone calls for both the protection of the customer and the protection of the company.

This is when we played the call back for you and you heard yourself order the service so then your story changed from “I never ordered” to “you guys never called me ahead”.

This is when our representative states this is the thing he normally hears from people who sign up for a service but never intend to pay for anything. They just get services until we shut them off for not paying and then they flip stories and say stuff along the lines of “I never ordered” to “I didn’t get a call ahead” then of course “the product doesn’t work” 3-6 months after the product is laid because they wait so long to finally answer their phone to pay their bill.

At the end of the day we went up and beyond and even discounted what was owed, which unfortunately there are some people like you who get $100 or more off of a bill that was proven you ordered just because we are a good company and instead of appreciating the break still want to come on and leave a negative review.

The truth at the end of the day is we made you pay for a service that we proved was purchased by you, and you also admit to having us for more than one year so we can’t be that bad of a company because you had us back :)

You also paid because once the proof was there you knew the only two ways to take care of this was to pay a discounted rate of what was owed to us or we could send you over to deal with a collections agency that can’t discount.

I personally have never paid for something I never purchased and you haven’t either so the only reason you paid was due to you knowing there was enough evidence that we would need to receive our money at some point and the discount sounded pretty good to you.

As far as our representative not having enough time is due to your call lasting over an hour and only listening to an 8 minute phone call. So he had over 50 minutes of trying to explain why the money was owed and after 50 minutes of explaining the black and white details and even throwing a discounted rate to help you out and you still not trying to pay I agree with my agent at that point in the fact that he explained everything as clear as possible so there was no further discussion that needed to take place and you were keeping him from trying to support his family because he makes commissions selling people who actually want a good lawn care company and these customers want to pay when they order services.

So I’m sorry you ordered a product you didn’t want and I’m sorry for giving you a 3rd of the money owed off, and I’m sorry we took an hour to explain that to you and show you with your own call that you ordered.

Reviews like this are always a bummer because we went up and beyond to provide the information and then we even still tried working with you after that on price. I don’t know many companies that you owe money to that take the time to show you how you ordered and once they prove you ordered still also give you discounts instead of late fees but we are that kind of company. Unfortunately some people are like this and just don’t  care and still try to bring our company down.

Good news as our manager told you yesterday we are a place of integrity and will continue to go up and beyond for the customers we service because most of them deserve it and appreciate us!!!!!
