  From Green to Brown!! I am extremely unhappy with a recent situation. I spent many hours in September myself de-thatching, aerating, overseeding, etc. to get my lawn into a great state. I did this myself because I didn't want to pay the astronomical price I was quoted by Virginia Green to do the work. The lawn was looking fantastic a few weeks after I completed that work myself. I have been a customer of Virginia Green now for over a year and I am on the "Estate" plan. They came to do the winter fertilizing on November 3rd. The tech arrived early in the morning and that morning we had frost on the grass. The tech annotated that he had some concerns about doing the treatment with the frost, BUT had called his manager and his manager annotated that it was ok to proceed. Now I know this is a huge mistake, but I relied on the experts that I PAY to keep my lawn looking green. As shown in the photos attached I now have brown streaks all throughout my yard where the spreader was run over the frosted grass. I am so frustrated. I have attempted to call my point of contact for the "Estate" plan, but have been unable to get a call back. I called the central support number two days ago and was told someone would be out to look. I have not seen anyone yet. If this doesn't get fixed or I don't get some sort of restitution I will be looking at other options. Nevertheless, think twice before paying the price (high compared to other options) for this company. Beware unless you want your lawn to look like mine.

  Do not use these guys. They killed our lawn. As a way to try and "make it right" they offered us free bush/shrub treatments. After receiving a bill for the treatments they gave us for free, we cancelled our service. Took weeks to get a refund and they still owe us $80 for the treatments that were on the house. I would never recommend these guys.

  My yard was a mess. After years of DIY, I finally called in the pros at Virginia Green. They did a great job and now I have a beautiful yard. I walk around our development and see signs from competitors in yards that are overgrown with weeds and dead grass. It is almost as if they are advertising for companies NOT to use. The Virginia Green sign in my yard is getting a lot of attention as I am constantly asked by friends and neighbors how the yard looks so much better than it did in prior years. Call Virginia Green- you will be glad you did. They know the business and know how to work with customers. I like dealing with a company that does what it says and delivers results, not excuses.
