Wow wow!!! Customer service is king here!!! They truly listen and care about the products they sell you. They went above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of and happy. Will definitely recommend them!!! Sometimes we sacrifice to give our business the the smaller stores but in this case prices were great and the service was A+. Thanks guys. I’ll be back!!

Purchased a new $600 (model 800X) Stihl leaf blower at this business. Instead of giving the leaf blower to me, the cashier said a technician needed to take it into the back and "get it ready" for me before I could leave with it. "It's company policy," he said. For the past 9 years, I've purchased all of my gas-powered, high-end Stihl equipment from "Issaquah Honda Kubota" at Issaquah, WA, also a Stihl dealer. Not once did the guys there need to do anything to the equipment, before I departed with it, whether it was my Stihl 700X leaf blower, or Stihl chain saw or two Stihl hedge trimmers. Issaquah Honda Kubota was sold out of the Stihl 800X that I wanted, and they were unsure when a new shipment was coming in, so here I was at Precision Turf Equipment. I started to follow the technician behind the counter as he walked away with my leaf blower, as I guessed he wanted me to follow him to give me an overview of features/how to operate my new blower...and I honestly just didn't feel very comfortable paying $600 for a brand new product, only to have it need to be worked on or taken out of sight. The cashier stopped me, saying no customers were allowed to accompany technicians as they get new products ready. I was curious why they have to do anything to a brand new product behind closed doors; why not in front of the customer? Is this Stihl company policy or this retailer's policy? And why? The cashier repeated this "company policy" without elaborating on why they must take the product into the back, out of view of its new owner. I said I didn't feel comfortable with this company policy. The cashier audibly scoffed at me, but at least he agreed to not let the tech take my blower away. Together the technician and I went outside. The tech added fuel and started the blower. Yep, my brand new Stihl product worked just fine and I finally headed out with my new blower. I'm very happy with the Stihl 800X... but the aforementioned "company policy" at Precision Turf Equipment and the cashier's response was strange, at best.

      Response from the owner

We are sorry to hear that you were unhappy with your visit to our store. Please note that we follow industry standards as far as assembly and servicing of new equipment. See Below from STIHL. Why STIHL Chooses Servicing Dealershttps://www.stihlusa.com › learn-why At an Authorized full-line STIHL servicing Dealership, products are assembled and serviced so when you buy them they are ready to run. So in answer to your question of who's policy it is - that would be STIHL's. When assembling and servicing equipment, new or old, our techs will take the equipment to our shop where they have the tools and fuel necessary to complete the task. It is for no other reason than to assemble and make sure the equipment runs as it should prior to you leaving with it. You were not allowed to go back to the shop with them because, as in most business such as ours, the shop as well as other areas on the property are limited to employees only for safety and liability reasons. There were no nefarious reasons or activities involved. But we are glad that you are happy with your purchase...

These people wrote the book on customer service. Went in for a part for a 20-year-old mower and they had it, for a fair price. They even took the time to explain a trick to install it that I never would have figured out on my own. You guys (and gal’s) are the best!
