  Mixed bag--these guys did some very nice work trimming our 5 maple trees and removing a large spruce next to our house, but made the decision to install a pop up drain on the side of our home in such a way that a significant amount of water sat in the drain and any discharge soaked the surrounding grass so much that it was constantly muddy. Drew suggested that JHL correct the issue by running a PVC drain line further to the end of the yard for an additional fee and scheduled the work promptly, but promised to stop by at the start and finish of the job to collect the check. We never saw him--he sent another employee to collect payment and we were disappointed he didn't keep his promise to stop by at the end. Moreover, we understood that the check we would give him on the day of the drain job would be our final payment, but then were forced to pay an additional fee for the total tree/drain jobs. Communication between the office, sales staff, and Drew needs to be more consistent. I spent too much time going back and forth figuring out what we owed and sending multiple checks.

  First time working with JHL (Drew, Andy, along with Jim and his crew). It won't be our last. We appreciated their professionalism in addressing our side yard underground multiple drain pipe issue and especially Andy's creative grading solution to a long time water flow problem.

  We use JHL as our landscaper and they are wonderful. So we now enlisted them to do a patio and fireplace for us. I cannot rave about them more!! Every day they showed up early and work until late. They worked so hard! They really paid attention to detail and went above and beyond. I highly recommend them!
