  First there are two divisions of Hittle you might engage. One is their "production" group that does" base landscaping" for home builders at scale (Pulte in our case). Second is their "custom" group which is a completely different set of people. We took what we were given in the base landscaping and interviewed several other custom landscaping firms. We had significantly different experiences with their sales/design staff. Some we had to follow-up religiously to get estimates and some very, very basic designs. We chose Hittle because of the amazing work of their designer, Cheryl Jacques. She's not just a "salesperson" she has her Master Degree in Landscape Architecture from Harvard, and a Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture from Purdue. She built out a master design with shrubs, trees, hardscape, mulch and a cedar vegetable garden with rebar!. Two days after closing, they were onsite and relocating trees, shrubs and plants (from the required “production” installation) to match Cheryl’s master plan. And they designed/installed our exterior lighting as well as our irrigation system (which waters the lawn based on actual rainfall and the weather forecast - thanks Ahmet!). Jeff Cart headed up the crew assigned to us. He was super responsive and every person on the crew was professional and did quality work. I highly recommend Hittles’ custom residential services – and suggest you start first with Cheryl!

  Most pathetic garden maintenance service. They are beyond incompetent. Hope our HOA gives them the boot - had to go out and buy our own mower to mow our lawn as the service we get is ATROCIOUS. Did I mention that we are in a subdivision that is HOA maintained, unfortunately Hittle has the landscape contract, hopefully not for much longer.........

  At first we were hesitant because the Hittle quote for our project seemed pricey; however, the quality of their work was definitely worth the cost. We appreciated the beautiful design that reflected the exact look and feel we had described to the designers. Their crews’ attention to detail in all aspects of the installation was amazing! It was definitely a great experience!
