  After reading the review of a previous customer. The job was expected to be done in March of 2021. Gribble Landscaping sent an estimate that was never received by the customer in December 2020. When Gribble Landscaping tried to resend the estimate it was some how deleted. This estimate was for 3 different walls all of which were itemized and took about 2 hours to do. In all there was 3 hours total dedicated to this customer plus drive time and gas for meeting. They said it was no rush!!! When we started working on another estimate to send him we was extremely busy at the time and didn't get it to him at the time he wanted it. So he gave us a poor review of 1 star. I did what I said I was going to do. It was a clerical error that was out of my hands. No reason for 1 star.

  I requested a quote from the owner of Gribble Landscaping when they came to take measurements on December 10, 2020. He was kind, courteous and professional at that time. I was told that, because of the holidays (and covid), I would not receive a quote for about a week. Totally understandable. After Christmas (two weeks later) I contacted the owner about getting a quote. A week later he said he sent it but that when he looked at the email it was blank. Ok... sure. I get it -- life happens. So I said 'no worries, get it to me and we'll discuss.' Then a week went by. Then another. And another. Still nothing. I'm not going to beat a dead horse. I would have loved nothing more than to use their services and support this local business, but unfortunately this is all I'm left with. I'm leaving a 1-star review because of their lack of professionalism, and their unresponsiveness.

  I was told the quote was no rush that they weren't starting job till beginning of March. I sent what I had over he said he didn't recieve it. Its the middle of January and now that the quote isnt in on his terms he is upset. I am extremely busy and told him I will get another quote for him as soon as I could. The quotes take me time because I try to get the best price for each customer and myself. There are a total of 3 different quotes with a total of 7 different retaining walls in this quote. If it was as easy as resending the original I would have already sent it. The quote was erased some how. When I click on the email to resend it comes up blank. I dont ever do this to customers I am always on time when I say. This being out of my hands due to clerical error is gonna give people the wrong outlook on my company and we do not deserve the bad review. I did do the estimate and sent it. I even have half the new one completed. Mr. Uihlein is not my only customer, I have gotten busy and I am sorry for the inconvenience but accidents happen. You still have 2 months to go before you break ground. It may be beneficial to contractors to wait to give an estimate closer to start date anyway. The cost of materials could go up due to delivery cost sky rocketing and small businesses closing their doors. Please follow up with me if I was wrong. I would own up to it. I did what I said I was going to do and again I apologize for the inconvenience I am not sorry for my efforts. Pretty harsh penalty for something that is gonna be built 2 months from now and was in no rush and I did 3 separate estimates and a consultation with you for ideas and what codes were for steps and walls free of charge. Just to have you give me 1 star. Thanks Joe Gribble
