NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE! PLEASE... take the negative reviews seriously. We have issues with them that are still unresolved going back to April/May of 2021. They will take forever to respond or simply ignore you if you have a problem. They can't even return a simple text message - completely unprofessional/unresponsive. Gave us a refund for messing up our yard, but now, months later, out of nowhere, are sending us a bill and threatening collections. So over the last 2 weeks I have sent several messages trying to get this resolved once and for all, but now they ignore us completely. >>> Steer clear or you will regret it. <<<

We've used Equity Green's services for almost 10 years. We tried every other company in and around Sioux City before this company was suggested to us. We've been so happy with their work. Many people have told us our lawn looks like a golf course, etc. Any time we've needed to contact them, they've returned our texts/calls the same day. Extremely happy with Equity Green!

I had been an Equity Green customer for about 2 years. Initially had no issues with their fertilizing and weed spraying service. Approx 5 weeks ago, when they sprayed my lawn for weeds, some of the spray landed on the very bottom of my two spruce trees and killed large areas of needles. On 06/16/21, I texted James photos of the damage and requested he call me to discuss this….crickets. On 06/18/21, I emailed him the photos and again requested telephone contact. He never called. He "physically" replied to my email, but completely ignored my issue. Instead he discussed my lawn and what he could do to improve it. Over the next several emails he dodged the issue by suggesting expensive upgrades and services to my lawn. James eventually acknowledged the fact my trees were damaged, but never accepted responsibility for it. He then offered to service my trees in an attempt to make them healthier, but (even after specific questions) would not say at who’s expense these services would be. I tried to cut and paste the entire email chain between James and I, but Google limits how large their reviews can be. This is unfortunate because the email chain is almost comical due to the complete disregard for my concerns as a paying customer. I will paste as much of it as I can below: On Jun 18, 2021, Chris wrote: Morning James, checking if you received my text this past Wed regarding the bottoms of my two spruce trees recently having dead spots. I included a few pics of some of the dead areas. As my text noted, it certainly appears as though when the last weed spraying took place there was some overspray that landed on my spruces. I have not received anything from you regarding this. Have you taken a look for yourself? My text requested a call from you in order to discuss this. I understand you are busy running around getting things done, so I figured giving you the opportunity to call me when it was convenient for you would be appreciated by you. Call anytime (outside normal business hours is fine). I'm certainly willing to call you directly if needed. Thank you. On 6/18/21, James wrote: Chris, First glance your lawn is cut a bit shorter than we would enjoy seeing. We can spray the crabgrass. It enjoys heat and lack of water is creating breakout. Have you considered installing an irrigation system and drill seeding? Thank you, James Hammer On 6/18/21, Chris wrote: James, I requested your thoughts on my spruce trees having dead spots due to overspray during weed spraying. Are you saying my lawn's length was the cause the overspray? -or- Are you saying my lawn is currently, or at the time of when I took the pics I sent you, cut too short? On 6/20/21, James wrote: Chris, Please email photos of the tree. Or you may contact X with X for a 100% accurate diagnostics, reviews, recommendations, and results. He charged a $125 consulting fee, however its priceless to absorb his knowledge. Yes your lawn is cut too short. If I may suggest installing an Irrigation System if your going to be living there for more than 3 years. An EPA Compliant Rain Bird System would be $3500. Mow when it needs to be cut with the highest setting now until September and then cut it shorter throughout Fall and mow & bag at 2” in November. Long term Drill/Slit/Hydro/seed would be optimally this fall for $1800. On 6/23/21, Chris wrote: James, yesterday I sent the photographs I took of some of the dead areas of my two spruces. Are you going to pay X's $125 consulting fee? I am less than satisfied with your vague replies to my emails that do not address my questions or the actual issues at hand. I am not concerned about my lawn's health at this time. I am concerned with the damage to my two trees. I am not a happy customer. *The email chain went on for another 8 rounds. In the end, James stopped replying to me, never called me, and never accepted responsibly for the damages. I see James tends to reply to Google reviews. I suggest he instead uses that time to call his paying customers and actually correct his company’s mistakes.*
