Had them for a year my yard was still thin and browning and owner only wanted to blame me for not watering enough. I have a sprinkler system that runs plenty of water .

Ecolawn is always amazing. We have been using them for a few years, but we saw results right away. Our lawn has only looked better with each year. The techs are super friendly and really give our lawn personalized care. Our neighbors always tell us how good our lawn looks.

Ecolawn fertilized my grass and three to four days later I noticed a patch of grass dying (see pictures). I have seen this happen before when I have fertilized my grass in the past which is why I decided to hire a professional. One of the reasons I chose Ecolawn is because they stated that they use organic-based environmentally friendly products. Imagine my surprise to see dead grass. The owner tried blaming the neighbor but the patch is 13 to 14 feet from the property line. I would think there would have been more brown patches closer to the property line. I do not have any pets and no other chemicals have been sprayed on or near the lawn. I had high hopes and was excited to work with Ecolawn. I am very disappointed by the lack of accountability, excuses and finger pointing over several situations. The irrational behavior I'm accused of came from immediate denial and blame from Don Zerby via voicemails and over the phone. No one else has been on the lawn other than him and his worker. The neighbor's spots are so far away that I cannot not see any logic as to how he could have caused it. He would have had to walk quite a ways to get to the spot which means other parts of my grass would have been damaged on the way. The neighbor had no reason to be on my property, Don's worker did. Don also had 24 hours to respond but didn't do so until after I posted reviews. It's strange that he can be notified of reviews but not emails from clients. I have a very busy schedule so I cannot always be available to answer him immediately when he decides to call. Instead of denying, he should have just said that he really did not know what happened but wanted to rectify the problem. Honesty goes a long way. The fix was to pull up the dead grass and throw seeds on the lawn which I had planned to do along with adding dirt so birds wouldn't eat the it. Even though I sent an official cancellation of services, Don apparently came to the house to "fix" the spot. Unfortunately there is no fix other than for the grass to regrow in that area. By the way - the lawn always looks good this time of year. It's during the summer is when it starts to go downhill.

    Response from the owner

Dear Stacey, Thank you for taking the time to review your lawn service with Ecolawn and I’m sorry you are displeased. On May 13, I received your email saying ‘when the lawn was serviced this past Thursday, the fertilizer burned and killed a spot on the grass’. Immediately, I left a message at both your numbers requesting additional information. Before returning my calls, you left 2 negative reviews on 2 different sites accusing our company of causing this brown spot. On 5/15, Steve, your technician and I visited and found the spot you mentioned. There was no fertilizer spilled in the brown spot or anywhere else in your lawn. (If there was, you'd see it) In fact, your lawn is beautiful and there is a dramatic improvement in its health and condition compared with last October when we began. I noted your neighbor had used a non selective herbicide to treat their own weeds within a very few feet and with the exact same characteristics of the brown spot in your lawn. I noted no equipment or operator malfunction on Ecolawns part. There are a number of circumstances that could cause brown spots. Regardless of how it got there, I repaired it. I knocked on your door and left messages again at both your phone numbers. You called a few hours later behaving irrationally, making accusations and not allowing me to respond. Once again, I’m sorry you are displeased, the spot has been repaired. Your program has been cancelled so you will not receive additional service from Ecolawn. Don Zerby
