I can not say enough great things about Charlottesville Tree Service and their expert service.  The owners work the jobs with their crew and are completely vested in their job execution and customer experience, it really shows. We had a very challenging removal project, a tall tree (about 100 feet) covered in dead vines  from top to bottom (long story) that had become very dangerous. It was located at the 4 adjoining property corners with structures nearby in each direction. This job took an enormous amount of strategy and skill and once I met with Tripp I knew he and his crew were up for the task.  They were on time, had a strategic and specific plan that was executed perfectly - they did what they said they would do and ahead of schedule. They also left our property pristine, they clearly worked to remove every bit of dust and debris possible and that is enormously appreciated. Even the neighbors were singing their praise!

Charlottesville Tree Service provided the best customer service I've had from any firm, in any industry, in a very long time. Tripp did a great job with the consultation for tree removal and provided an array of options. Martin and his crew are true professionals and it was amazing to watch them work. The 60-70 yr old red oak in question was expertly and efficiently removed using a crane. The crew left the property in great condition and meticulously removed all debris. Really can't recommend these folks enough.

My husband is a horticulturist who ran a tree farm for 27 years. No one is more particular than him about tree services. When we needed a large red maple at the corner of our deck removed, he got quotes from several services before deciding on Charlottesville Tree. We are completely satisfied  - much more than satisfied. They function beautifully and efficiently as a team from preparation through meticulous clean up. It was sad watching our old tree come down, but beautiful to watch skilled craftsman at work. It took them just 2 hours. We highly recommend them.

Very professional in removing 6 large diseased trees. Team leader met with owner, then as agroup establishing plan. Area was prepped to prevent property damage successfully. As each limb came down two men fed it into a grinder, two men continually cleaned up any debris and one man was in the tree sawing the next limb. All this done with great attention to the safety of the men doing the work and the owner's property. Area left beautifully fresh . I highly recommend this company.

These guys are the best. I had them remove 4 trees from my property and they did an amazing job. They used a crane so skillfully and did it all in one day. I'd use them again and again. Really good at taking care of things, being safe and cleaning up after. 5 stars all the way!

I had a tree on my property with root lift after a bad storm. I was afraid it would fall and hurt someone or damage my driveway. I contacted a few different companies and Charlottesville Tree Service was the only one that responded quickly. Tripp came out and gave me an estimate and we scheduled the work. Before they arrived to do the work I noticed another tree leaning with root lift. When they got there I asked if it would be possible for them to take that one down too. Tripp gave me a quick estimate and took down both trees. They did a great job and left zero evidence of them being there other than some stumps. they also wound up charging me a little less than the estimate I was given. I would definitely use Charlottesville tree service again

I chose this company partly because of the time and attention given when they first visited to assess my trees. The day of the actual work, they arrived on time and took exactly as long as estimated — with frequent check-ins to let me know what they were noticing about the state of one of my trees and to ask if I were pleased. Finally, when one piece of equipment unexpectedly damaged my yard and some underlying drainpipes, they came back the next morning to fix everything. I couldn't have been more pleased. In the past, I've had to beg to have yard-damage corrected from a tree company. This team is extremely responsible and professional. I recommend them.

I could not recommend Charlottesville Tree Service more.  We needed to remove a few trees in a very tight timeframe.  Within 7 days of requesting a quote, and after receiving a competitive quote, they were working on site.  The were incredibly skilled, working in a tight space in downtown Charlottesville, communicative, generous with their time answering my many questions as they worked, professional, safe, meticulous in their execution and clean up, and went above and beyond skillfully taking down a tree that had a steel fence post in the middle of it.  For a loud and messy process that normally would upset neighbors, I actually had neighbors ask for referrals and quotes of their own.  I couldn't be happier with the process and outcome.  Thank you to Tripp, Martin, Derek and Jayden for all the help on this one.

We had a very large oak tree behind our house that needed to be removed. I contacted 4-5 other companies before calling Charlottesville Tree Service. Their price was very fair and the whole experience was great from start to finish. Tripp, Martin, and their crew were professional, on time, worked hard, and cleaned up when they were finished. They maintained open lines of communication during the whole process including follow up calls to make sure we were satisfied with the job. I couldn't be happier with their service and would recommend them to anyone! Thanks!

My experience started with the owner arriving on-site for a previously scheduled quote/consultation for tree removal an hour after the region being hit hard by very damaging winds (trees down all over the region).  Even with the added pressure of those unexpected storms, Tripp still showed up & did due diligence surveying the level of work to put together a quote.

On the day of the tree removal, the crew showed up within 15 minutes of the scheduled start time.  Martin and his crew walked the site with me, got the plan squared away, and immediately got to work.  The plan was to remove 4 trees, one of which was ~75ft tall and already leaning over the house.  They took their time and safely removed not only that tree, but 6 others (3 were unplanned) without any collateral damage.  They looked like a well-oiled machine - in constant communication with one another.  They mulched and hauled away the small stuff and cut rounds from the big stuff to my specified length and stacked them for my later use.  They did a great job cleaning up afterwards.  The owner called a couple days afterwards to check up on the job to ensure it was completed to my satisfaction. I told him it was.

Good group of guys.  Very professional.  The job cost a chunk of change (it was a big job), but it stayed within the expected cost, and I feel I got good value for the money spent.  They busted their butts and did a great job.  If you're looking for removal of big trees, I recommend these guys.
